In the same week that the USF men’s basketball team extended their losing streak to four games at the hands of FIU, the USF women embarrassed the FIU women on their own court, 82-52.

The USF Bulls end their four game losing streak with a big win over Bethune-Cookman, 83-63.

The USF men’s basketball team drops their fourth game in a row, losing to FIU by a 65-53 score. 

The USF football program hosted some of their top recruiting targets over the weekend. Visitors included Jordan McCloud, a quarterback prospect from Plant City. McCloud gets a composite of three stars from 247 Sports. They list him as a dual-threat quarterback at 6-0 and 175 pounds. His other top offers include Boston College, Maryland, and Oregon.

 

The Birmingham Bowl has announced that it has invited Texas Tech University to face #23 and Birmingham Bowl defending champion, the University of South Florida Bulls for the 11th edition of this bowl game. 

 

The USF Bulls have a three game losing streak after losing to 5-4 Appalachian State, 84-61 on Saturday, and falling to Elon, 78-79, on Thursday.

The USF men’s basketball team fell apart late in their game against Eastern Michigan, losing 65-47. 

 

The #17 /16 USF women’s basketball team lost for the first time this season, falling to #6 Notre Dame, 76-66 on Saturday night. 

The #12 / 13 UCF Knights defeated the # 19 / 22 USF Bulls in thrilling fashion, 49-42.  The two teams took turns scoring in the fourth quarter to make for one of the most exciting endings of a college football game this season.

This is the Rivalry Week game preview of the #22 / 19 University of  South Florida visiting the #13 / 12 University of Central Florida for the most important game in this series.  USF has the 6-2 edge, overall, winning two of the last three matchups.  This game, unlike prior games, will be a battle of two top 25 ranked teams, with the winner securing the East division of the American Athletic Conference with a chance at a conference title.  The loser will be bowling in obscurity. 

 

The USF men’s basketball team rebounded from a loss against Indiana to beat Howard, 75-52.  Three players scored into double digits in the biggest win for the Bulls, this year.

On Friday afternoon, as the nation fixes their first leftover turkey sandwiches and settles down for some afternoon football, a rivalry will be born. 

 

USF’s women’s basketball team remained undefeated at 4-0 after easily dispatching Butler, 71-55, on Monday night.  The Bulls had three players with double digit scoring in the win.
