The USF football program hosted some of their top recruiting targets over the weekend. Visitors included Jordan McCloud, a quarterback prospect from Plant City. McCloud gets a composite of three stars from 247 Sports. They list him as a dual-threat quarterback at 6-0 and 175 pounds. His other top offers include Boston College, Maryland, and Oregon.
Listed as an athlete, having played defensive back at Okeechobee High School, is 5-9, 166 pound JaJuan Cherry. Also listed with a three star composite from 247 Sports, his top alternatives include offers from Purdue and Georgia Tech.

Receiver prospect, Zion Roland, is a 5-11 184 pound recruit from nearby Admiral Farragut Academy (St. Petersburg). 247 Sports gives him a three star composite rating. He has offers from Louisville, Cincinnati, Maryland, Mississippi State, among others. Brian Norris, a running back recruit out of Chiefland High School, is also a three star prospect according to 247 Sports’ composite score. Norris is 6-2 and 220 pounds, the kind of running back who can run a power run game. Norris has no other offers listed. Those four were joined by an unexpected visitor, also making an official visit. Three star composite, pro-style quarterback, Michael Penix. Penix, who played for Tampa Bay Tech, is 6-2 and 182 pounds. He is listed as a Tennesee commit, but one who is still taking official visits. He’s ranked as the #20 pro-style quarterback in the 2018 class. Penix took an unofficial visit at USF in November.
