The hiring of new head coach, Charlie Strong, might be the biggest news in program history. Every national media outlet seems to be covering the story, to include the likes of the New York Times, USA Today, and the LA Times. Before the man has coached a game, he has already elevated the program’s national prominence.

Looking Back

The #22 ranked USF women’s basketball team secured a comeback against Arkansas State on Sunday. Kitija Laksa lead the team in scoring with 22 points.

Looking Forward

USF quarterback, Quinton Flowers, is finally getting recognized for inclusion in the Heisman race. Flowers ranks 15th in the nation in rushing total, second highest for a quarterback, which was Heisman winner, Lamar Jackson.   He also ranks 10th in total offense, with 3,972 yards and 37 touchdowns.

The men’s basketball team returns to action tonight, hosting Bethune Cookman. The men had last week off to focus on finals exams. The game will be telecast on ESPN3. Tipoff is at 7 PM.

Other Stuff

With the hiring of Charlie Strong after being released by Texas, the hand sign has now been rediscovered as a point of controversy.
