USF will look to build on last year’s momentum, after making it to their first bowl game in four years as they begin the football season against the Towson State Tigers. The Bulls return experienced players in

many key positions and appear poised to make a run in 2016. That includes quarterback, Quinton Flowers, and running back, Marlon Mack. The juniors accounted for nearly three-fourths of the team’s output on the ground, last season. The team will look to senior receiver, Rodney Adams, for leadership and a repeat of last year’s big production numbers.

The Tigers will try to keep the game close, where they will be thirty point underdogs. They finished 2015 with a respectable 7-4 record last season. Morgan Mahalak, an Oregon transfer at quarterback, will lead Towson State along with thousand yard runner, Darius Victor.

The Bulls are entering just their 20th football season in school history and are 1-3 all-time against teams in the Colonial Athletic Association of the FCS. This is the first matchup between these two teams. Kickoff is at 7 PM at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.
