The USF men’s basketball team rebounded from a loss against Indiana to beat Howard, 75-52.  Three players scored into double digits in the biggest win for the Bulls, this year.

The game was close midway through the first half, with each team taking turns leading.  Then, the Bulls went on a 13-0 scoring run to lead 29-15.  They would lead by as much as 15 before heading into the halftime break with a 36-24 lead.

Just two minutes into the second half, USF went on a 12-0 scoring run to build their lead to 51-28 with 14:13 remaining in the game.  They would maintain a big lead over the Bison, never letting them within less than 18 and leading by as many as 28 points in the second half. 

Howard had two players in double digit scoring.  Guard, R.J. Cole, led his team with 17 points and was a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line.  Fellow guard, Charles Williams, scored 15 with five rebounds.

USF guard, Stephan Jiggetts, was the high scorer for the Bulls. He totaled 16 points, going 4-5 from beyond the arc.  Payton Banks, guard, scored 14 and joined Jiggetts in making 2-2 free throws.  Forward, Tulio Da Silva, was the final Bull in double digit scoring, with ten points and six rebounds. 

At 3-2, USF will look forward to two games in three days as they host a noon game against Arkansas State and a 4:00 PM matchup with Eastern Michigan on Sunday.
