All of a sudden, it’s football season.

The preseason is down to nothing, but the AP did release their preseason poll this week.  The Bulls come in at #19, and for the first time in history, there are four from Florida

So, that preseason ranking love begs questions from those who ask questions.  In this case, the Washington Post wants to know, “Can South Florida win the American Athletic championship and run the table?”

CBS’ Randy Cross says about USF senior quarterback, Quinton Flowers, “he plays so well that you can’t ignore what he’s doing when it comes to Heisman hype.”  Flowers is on a handful of watch lists, but Heisman hype has been limited to dark horse status in preseason, so far.

But, Is Quinton Flowers A Real Heisman Contender? asks Alison Leslie of Sports Talk Florida.

In case you haven’t heard, that team from Tampa is playing a real football game in San Jose.  That’s in California.  A team coming off a 4-8 campaign will be gunning for a win over a ranked team.

The Bulls landed a commitment from 3 star Nova High School linebacker, Shaun Peterson.  The 6-3, 210 pound 2018 recruit has been called "best darn linebacker in the country" by former Miami Dolphins linebacker and current youth football liaison for the Dolphins, Twan Russell.

The Tampa Bay Times’ Joey Knight found time to sit down with original Bull, Charlie Jackson.  Jackson hasn’t had the post-college football dream life that others have had.

USF has given preferred walk-on special teams player, Greg Reeves, a scholarship.

Buried in the bottom of this Joey Knight story about camp ending, is the fact that the Bulls will finally get their own locker room at Ray Jay.

The Oracle thinks USF men’s golf is looking good enough to challenge in the post season again.  Also, a new era begins under new men’s soccer coach, Bob Butehorn.
