Looking Back

The 23/25 ranked USF softball team won a double header on Sunday. Outscoring their opponents a combined 20-3, they beat Army 11-1 and Central Connecticut 9-2. The team improved their record to 16-11 overall.

The men’s basketball team lost to UConn in the AAC tournament, but they made the Huskies earn it. The final score was 77-66, but USF trailed by a score of 67-65 with 2:04 to go in the game. It is now time for the program to regroup and figure out where it will go in the future, including a permanent head coaching hire.

When things look like they can’t get worse for men’s basketball, the team is losing their top scorer for the second time this season. Penn State transfer, Geno Thorpe, has announced he will not return to USF to play basketball, next season.

Looking Forward

The trip to nationals marks just the third appearance in the 28 year history of the club.
